About Gondia
Gondia district was carved out by division of Bhandara district. The district is situated on North-Eastern side of Maharashtra state having state borders of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The surrounding districts to Gondia are Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh on northern side and Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh state on eastern side. To the south and west are Chandrapur district and Bhandara district of Maharashtra. The district headquarter is situated at Gondia town located on Mumbai – Calcutta railway route which is 1060 Km from Mumbai – the state capital. Gondia is one of the underdeveloped districts of Maharashtra, covered with forests.

There are some worth visiting places of tourist’s interest which include Nagra, Kachargadh, Kamtha, Dakram Sukdi, Itiadoh, Nagzira Sanctuary, Chulbandh, Hazara Fall and Nawegaon National Park etc
